Marsh Wren (Cistothorus palustris)
During the mating season, the male builds 5 to 6 unfinished nests constituted of grasses, cattails, and sedges woven together with an entrance at the side. The female selects one nest and adds a lining to it
or simply built another one.
Wow, now that is one busy male and to think that the female may not like any of them and builds her own...how ungrateful is she;) Wonderful images. Have a great week~
Wrens are my favorites, and your photo is exquisite. So nice to see where they live, too. I'm so glad to discover your blog. Have you considered sharing with The Creative Exchange?
beautiful shot!
