Dark-eyed Junco (Junco hyemalis)
Breeds from Alaska east across Canada to Newfoundland.
These birds migrate further south, arriving in their winter quarters
around mid-september and leaving to breed around mid-March.
I just told family yesterday, how much I adore our Winter visitors, the Dark-eyed Juncos. They always look like they are wearing little boots on their feet, and I enjoy their colour variations. You got a marvelous capture presented here!

ReplyDeleteHello Dominique,
ReplyDeleteJunco in the snow is a great contrast, I like it very well
greetings Frank
Preciosa imagen mimetizando perfectamente el pájaro con el entorno, la postura del mismo es muy graciosa. Un cordial saludo.
ReplyDeleteInteresting images, it seems like he is looking at your text over the image ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteUnknown where I live in the south of France... to my knowledge!
Thanks for the info!
Cheers, Dom!
